NEED
InterCell BioMedical previously stored all documents in an unstructured and disparate fashion. InterCell needed an easy method of storing key company information within a secure, searchable and structured environment facilitating the location and management of important business information by:
1. Enabling document collaboration
2. Providing enterprise search capabilities.
BUSINESS CHALLENGE
InterCell’s previous system presented many difficulties for intra-department information sharing. We had to re-educate key users to take ownership of their individual work areas and engage information workers within these new processes.
SOLUTION
Brantas implemented a solution that inherited the benefits of the previous system supplemented with enhanced searching, security and document sharing features whilst mitigating the risk of users removing key company information. We retained existing corporate styling and identity when designing the new management system and successfully engaged key users in the new platform through tailored workshops. We matured InterCell’s business continuity plan by implementing a strategy to minimise the likelihood of information loss down to the smallest acceptable limit to the business utilising current infrastructure therefore minimising the cost of ownership.
